Online Psychological Support for Urdu & Hindi Speaking Clients Across the UK
Britain has one of the largest South Asian communities in the world, from London and Birmingham to Manchester, Bradford and Leicester. Tayyab Murtaza offers online sessions from Pakistan for people in the UK who would rather talk about their mental health in Urdu or English with someone who understands their cultural background.
Why some UK South Asians look for support in Urdu
Many people find that the hardest feelings — shame, family conflict, marriage pressure, grief, or feeling caught between two cultures — are easier to explain in Urdu. Some also worry about being misunderstood, or that the people close to them will find out they are seeking help. A private online session in a familiar language can be a gentle first step.
Common reasons UK clients get in touch
- Anxiety, stress and overthinking linked to work, study or family
- Low mood, loneliness and feeling disconnected
- Marriage, in-law and relationship strain
- Identity and belonging as a second-generation British South Asian
- Past trauma and difficult experiences
- Hypnotherapy for relaxation, habits or confidence, where suitable
UK timing
Pakistan is 4 hours ahead of the UK in summer (BST) and 5 hours ahead in winter (GMT). Because the practice works long days, morning, afternoon and early-evening UK appointments are often possible. Your exact time is confirmed in UK time before you book.
How booking works from the UK
- Message on WhatsApp with your city and preferred language.
- Agree a time, confirmed in UK time.
- Payment is arranged individually on WhatsApp.
- Join a private video session from a quiet room.
Working alongside UK services
Tayyab Murtaza is a clinical psychologist based in Lahore, Pakistan. He is not registered with health regulators outside Pakistan (for example the HCPC in the UK), and online sessions are psychological support provided from Pakistan — not a local clinical service in your country. For emergencies, medication or a locally registered professional, please contact services where you live.
In the UK, you can still use your GP, NHS Talking Therapies or NHS 111 alongside online sessions. In an emergency call 999; Samaritans are available free on 116 123.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an NHS or UK-registered service?
No. It is private online support provided from Pakistan by a Pakistan-qualified clinical psychologist. It does not replace NHS care.
Which UK cities do you work with?
Sessions are online, so anywhere in the UK — including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford and Leicester.
Can I have sessions in English if my Urdu is limited?
Yes. Many British-born clients mix English and Urdu, and that is completely fine.
