Who these online sessions are for
Many people living abroad find it easier to talk about feelings in their first language, with someone who understands family expectations, migration, faith and cultural pressure without needing everything explained. Online sessions are for adults who want that kind of understanding from wherever they live.
- Pakistanis and South Asians living in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and the Gulf
- Students and professionals adjusting to life in a new country
- Couples and families dealing with relationship strain across cultures or distance
- Anyone who prefers Urdu, Hindustani or English for emotional conversations

01
Languages
Sessions are held in Urdu and English. Hindi-speaking clients usually find everyday spoken Urdu (Hindustani) easy to follow, and many choose to mix languages naturally. If you are unsure, send a message first and we can talk about what will feel comfortable.
02
How online sessions work
- Send a WhatsApp message with your country, preferred language and a short note on what you need help with.
- A suitable time is agreed and confirmed in your local time zone.
- Payment details are shared and arranged individually on WhatsApp before the session.
- A private video link is sent ahead of time. Join from a quiet, private space with headphones if possible.
- The first session focuses on understanding your situation and agreeing goals; later sessions follow the plan you agree together.
03
Time zones
Sessions are arranged from Pakistan (PKT, UTC+5). The practice works long days, which usually makes daytime or early-evening appointments possible for clients in the UK, Europe and the Gulf. North American and Australian clients can usually find workable times too — the exact time is always confirmed in your own time zone before booking.
04
Privacy and confidentiality
What you share stays between you and your psychologist, within normal professional and safety limits that are explained at the start. Sessions are not recorded. You are encouraged to join from a private room so you can speak freely.
05
Technical requirements
- A phone, tablet or computer with camera and microphone
- A stable internet connection
- WhatsApp, for booking and reminders
- Headphones and a private space for the session

Important information for clients outside Pakistan
Tayyab Murtaza is a clinical psychologist based in Lahore, Pakistan. He is not registered with health regulators outside Pakistan (for example the HCPC in the UK), and online sessions are psychological support provided from Pakistan — not a local clinical service in your country. For emergencies, medication or a locally registered professional, please contact services where you live.
Frequently asked questions
Before your first session
Can therapy really work online in Urdu?
Yes. For many concerns, online video sessions work well, and speaking in your own language often makes it easier to describe what you feel.
Do you offer sessions in Hindi?
Sessions are in Urdu and English. Most Hindi speakers comfortably follow conversational Urdu (Hindustani). Message first if you would like to check.
How do I pay from abroad?
Payment is arranged individually on WhatsApp before your session.
Is this a replacement for emergency care?
No. If you are in danger or crisis, contact local emergency services immediately (for example 999 in the UK, 911 in the USA and Canada, 000 in Australia, 999 in the UAE).
Are you registered in my country?
No. Tayyab Murtaza is qualified and based in Pakistan. Online sessions are support provided from Pakistan, not a locally registered clinical service.
